Bali Diving Spot
AMED
Amed is located on the south east of Bali. The coastal strip from Amed to Aas is often referred to as ‘Amed’, but there are a few villages along the way including, Jemeluk, Bunutan, Lipah, and Selang.
This location is highly recommended for introductory dives. By boat, Amed has a nice wall dive just a few minutes away. It is a fun, easy dive for everyone. Snorkeling and diving off the black-sand beaches here is exceptional, the variety and numbers of fish on display are among the best on Bali and the water temperature is a constant 28 degrees. Schools of cardinal fish, triggerfish, black snappers, pyramid butterflies, banner fish, and damselfish can be seen on the sand slopes, while table corals, big fan gorgonians, and magnificent stag horn Acropora and Dendronephthya trees, dense growths of sponges, crinoids, and sea fans are commonly found within 20 meters of shore.
Cemuluk, on a protected bay, is an ideal place to begin snorkeling. Four kilometers further south along the coast is Banyuning, where there's a small wreck and some of the most beautiful coral gardens to be seen anywhere in the Lesser Sundas. The water is a little deeper here and sometimes there is a slight swell, so this area suits people with experience.
Menjangan Island, The Dive Site
The sites of the west Bali diving spot offer pristine typically waters, colorful marine life and the advisable smoothest conditions for the divers and snorkelers of all the levels. The divers that enjoy the jump of the wall will appreciate the points first of the areas around the islands of Menjangan, but they are interest for each there here, with a deep plunge of the ruin, a certain unique jump at night, exceptional dirt and macro which they are plunged near Lovina, and many sites snorkeling. Most of the sites of the plunge of you run them are around the island of Menjanan. The jump is regulated here. The fishing of the lance is not allowed and all the marine life is protected. The white sandy beaches of Menjangan make a location pleasant to break itself for the lunch. Nusa Lembongan Bali
Nusa Lembongan, a small island between Bali and Nusa Penida in Badung Strait, is the perfect holiday hideaway with few visitors and pristine un-spoilt beaches. A low, protected island about 11 km southeast of mainland Bali, measuring only four by three km and ringed with mangrove swamps, and palms and white sandy beaches. Inland the terrain is scrubby and very dry, with volcanic stonewalls and processional avenues crisscrossing the small cactus-covered hills. Overlooking Sanghiang Bay with its clear blue waters, the Nusa Lembongan Resort offers a panoramic view of eastern Bali and the majestic silhouette of Mount Agung. Known for its great surf, the excellent crystal-clear waters also make it a perfect place for snorkeling and diving. It's still a basic place, but interesting, and there are some lovely places to stay. There are just two villages on Nusa Lembongan, the large, spread out administrative center of Lembongan Village, and Jungut Batu village. Surfers and backpackers hang out in the latter, about 150 per month, for an average stay of three to five days. The only other visitors are European, Japanese, and Australian day-trippers on excursion boats. Jungut Batu offers the island's best accommodations and water sport opportunities. There's motorcycle traffic between the two villages and it's easy to get a lift. Both villages are heavily involved in the cultivation of seaweed.
Sanur
On the Eastern coastline, sheltered by the coral reef, the waves here are much gentler than other areas of Bali. Sanur is a multitude of contrasts. As in the past, Fisherman still wander the beach and the colorful outrigger canoes can be hired for sailing trips along the coast and to outlying islands. In the last two decades the once sleepy village of Sanur has become an elite international resort, with huge hotel complexes offering first class accommodations and every modern facility to visiting tourists.
Tulamben
Tulamben is the most famous area for diving in Bali and therefore where you are more probable to the photographers and the writers internationally recognized of the meeting. The bay of Tulamben, like the rest of Bali, is located in richer the marine biogeografy zone of the world. Being in the northeast coast, the bay have very rich plankton waters of the main current of the ocean that moves from the Pacific to the Indian Ocean.
